Douglas Vandekerkhove
Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Vandekerkhove resumed his role as Chief Executive Officer of ACD in January 2004. From 1999 until the March 2003, Mr. Vandekerkhove was the Chief Executive Officer of ACD and from 1994 to 2001 Mr. Vandekerkhove was President of ACD Ltd. and its predecessor. From 1983 to 1989, Mr. Vandekerkhove was Vice-President of Convenience Store Control and Development of Pay Less Gas Co., a private British Columbia company that operated over fifty gas stations, or convenience store/gas station combinations throughout western Canada.
George Mitchell
Director
Mr. Mitchell has had a business career that has included senior positions within Government, Business and Professional Practice. Mr. Mitchell, a Chartered Accountant, was a senior partner with Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche) until June 1989. He specialized in tax work, mergers, acquisitions and financings. In 1989 he left Touche Ross to become President and major shareholder of a large retail business that was subsequently sold to a major oil company in 1993. Mr. Mitchell has been carrying on a consulting business since that time assisting businesses in obtaining financing and advising on other business matters including mergers and acquisitions.
